[Fitness Incline] New Study: LESS Cardio Gives Better Results

Several studies have confirmed that exercising in shorter bursts with rest periods in between burns more fat than exercising continuously for an entire session. This has been shown to hold true even when the session is not done at an extremely high intensity.

In one such study, those who cycled for 40 minutes, alternating four-minute bursts at 90 percent effort with two minutes of rest, improved their cardiovascular fitness by 13 percent, and were able to burn 36 percent more fat during a later hour-long moderate cycling session.

Another study took it even further, showing you can burn more fat exercising for 20 minutes than for 40 minutes!

In their trial, women either exercised for 20 minutes, alternating 8 seconds of sprinting on a bike with 12 seconds of exercising lightly, or exercised at a regular pace for 40 minutes. After exercising three times a week for 15 weeks, those who did the 20-minute, alternating routine lost three times as much fat as the other women.

The researchers believe this type of exercise works because it produces a unique metabolic response. Intermittent sprinting produces high levels of chemical compounds called catecholamines, which allow more fat to be burned from under your skin and within your muscles. The resulting increase in fat oxidation is thought to drive the increased weight loss.

Again, one of the best parts of interval training is that it cuts down on the amount of time you need to exercise, which is great if you don’t have time for hour-long cardio workouts.

Your diet is going to be the number one thing I want you to focus on in the next two weeks… I know, I can hear you cringing right now haha… but DON’T WORRY… because its not going to be that bad… In fact,  I want you to eat foods that taste good.  Just in moderation.. I wish I could tell you dieting wasn’t an essential part of losing weight fast but that just isn’t the case… You know that already but I waned to remind you anyway haha!

So you need to be on a very effective diet program that doesn’t have you starving to death,  THIS IS ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL… There are many different programs around.. some are really effective while others just plain suck lol! Fat Burning Furnace is the program I recommend to my clients,  it gives you great foods the will literally melt food off your body faster than you can say “how to lose 10 pounds in 2 weeks” haha. Ok maybe not that fast!

If you don’t want to spend money on a really great diet plan,  that’s absolutely fine too… You can get to your goals regardless, its just obviously not going to happen quite as quickly and easily without a well researched diet guide to help you out.

- Just focus on very lean meats, fruits, and vegetables… stay away from heavy dressings on those vegetables too cheater! haha  The trick is not to completely starve yourself.. but its ok to leave yourself a little bit hungry… a lot of diets tell you to keep yourself completely full with healthy foods, and that works great FOR LONG TERM weight loss!  If you need to lose significant weight in 2 weeks time,  you are going to have to be a little hungry sometimes so your body uses your fat as energy.  Since i don’t know you current situation I can’t tell you how many calories a day you should limit yourself too,  but for your average person its about 1500 calories a day… If you are a little larger than average adjust your calories up a little bit,  and if you are already on the smaller side you can eat a little bit less,  but don’t go less than 1000 calories in a day or you will be getting into the unhealthy zone.

For Exercise:  Rapid weight loss will require you to workout 5-6 days a week for the 2 week period… after that you can take it back to 3-4 days a week,  but if you really want to know how to lose 10 pounds in 2 weeks, your gonna have to up your exercise a little bit.

2. How To Lose 10 Pounds In 2 Weeks Exercise Routine:

3 day of cardio a week for a long and as hard as you can… 2 of the cardio days should be sprinting or circuit training style, sprinting is best but if you are not ready for that just try and rotate your light jog speed 4 or 5 different times during your cardio session.   A sprinting workout like:

Will make your body burn fat A LOT more than any other exercise but not everyone is in good enough shape to finish that… give it a try and see how far you get… it works wonders!

One cardio session should just be a nice long distance run for as long as you can go.

The other 2-3 days of the week should be focused on weight training,  this is often overlooked but it has been proven that weight training is just as important to fat loss as cardio.

Just rotate your muscle groups,  get on the circuit machines and do 1 exercise per muscle group… This is how to lose 10 pounds in 2 weeks.  It will work,  you will see yourself melting pounds away really fast.

Anyway,  notice how I didn’t over complicate things for you,  if you do that it will just become annoying… just follow my guidelines here and burn that fat! It works for everyone guaranteed !

While working towards getting those amazing head turning six pack abs, people tend to opt for various options whether dietary and related to eating habits or exercising regimes. However, in the process these people tend to make quite a few mistakes! Here are some common mistakes made by people going for six pack abs!

The basic mistake made by people following a six pack abs exercise regime is that they tend to over exercise their abdominal muscles. This can do more harm than good!

To get your perfect flat abs, you should ideally balance your exercises in a way so as they not only tone your abdominal muscles, but also works on your whole body to keep it fit, firm and healthy. You definitely would not want six pack abs with weak and thin legs or a weak back!

Cardio exercises involving swimming, jogging, running etc are perfect for the well being of your whole body. So try to include more of them in your daily work out regime. A balance in your exercising will not only get you good results with your six pack abs but will also burn fat.

The mistake people tend to make is that they feel they need to work on concentrating on the spot reduction of their abs (the reduction of fat in the abdominal area only) — which is actually incorrect. You can only get your six pack abs if you manage to cut down excess fat from every part of your body.

Another common mistake that people make while aiming to get their six pack abs is when they indulge in a crash diet to loose weight which tends to harm balance of your entire system. To maintain and build your nicely built abs, you will need to do a lot of physical exercises for which you would require adequate energy. A crash diet will not help you in any way. Rather, you should have multiple small meals comprising of healthy food like vegetables, fruits, carbohydrates and low fat protein at regular intervals. Never skip a meal.

Crash diets will make you weak and will prevent building of your muscles so your dream to get those six pack abs will never come true.
